New digital release by Undermathic available now from Tympanik Audio

2011/09/13
Undermathic presents his listeners with 13 unreleased and deleted tracks from his pre-album years in a digital-only release appropriately titled ‘Deleted (1999-2006)’. Each song here could easily pass for new material, exhibiting Maciej’s solid production and composing skills even in their earliest stages. From the industrial-tinged tautness of “Mechanical Steering”, “Bypass”, and “Moyen Age”, the quirky electro rhythms of “Stereo” and “Idleness”, to the smooth melody-laced atmospheres of “My Room”, “Parallel”, and “I’m Waiting”, Undermathic once again delivers another memorable collection of songs full of vitality and warmth.

2011/01/05
It seems like the Tympanik label has gone on a releasing spree, as I have many more CDs from to review this time around than any other label. One thing you can be sure of, whatever they release is going to be interesting in some way or another, and such is the case with Polish composer Maciej Paszkiewicz's Undermathic project...

Textura review

2011/01/02
Though Undermathic hews to the dark electronic side of the spectrum in a manner to be expected of a Tympanik Audio artist, Maciej Paszkiewicz also proves himself to be a composer who's a cut above the rest. That's certainly apparent on 10:10PM, his follow-up to 2009's Return To Childhood, especially when the Poland-based producer allows the melodic sophistication of his music to come to the fore....

Side-line review

2010/12/26
One year after the debut-CD “Return To Childhood” we get a new opus composed by Maciej Paszkiewicz. The least I can say is that this young and talented Polish musician has seriously involved in his global production work. After a promising debut we now get a fully accomplished and alluring release. “10:10PM” opens quite smooth with the very evasive “Big City Nights”...

Review of '10:10pm' by Reflections of Darkness

2010/12/18
Actually, it’s not so long ago that Maciej Paszkiewicz has joined the Tympanik Audio label for the release of his album ‘Return To Childhood’ in 2009. There was a unique aura of wistfulness surrounding that record, enclosed in each and every track which is why I think the album became so much of a critic’s darling back in the day. Autumn of 2010 sees UNDERMATHIC returning to the scene with a new album, titled ’10:10PM’ and released on 10th October...

Recenzja albumu - darkplanet.pl

2010/12/03
Młoda ale prężna chicagowska niezależna wytwórnia Tympanik Audio mająca umiłowanie do wydawania naszych rodzimych artystów ([haven], C.H. District) wydała drugą płytę Macieja Paszkiewicza tworzącego jednoosobowy projekt Undermathic. Maciej debiutował w 2009 roku płytą "Return to Childhood", ale dopiero w "10:10pm" prawdziwie rozwija skrzydła...

Nice review of '10:10pm' by Chroniques Electroniques

2010/11/15

Electronic Moon review of '10:10pm'

2010/10/24
I have been captivated by the new release from Undermathic entitled “10:10PM”. This is yet another fantastic piece of IDM/Electronica from the Tympanik label. The album is awash in everything from tribal rhythms and intricate IDM stylings to ambient soundscapes and smooth running machinery. The very first notes of the opening track “Big City Nights” set the tone for what becomes a journey through a dream like atmosphere underpinned by dark brooding strings, delicate synths and a relentless beat that pulls the music ever forward…just fantastic. The album never falters as track after track takes you deeper into this beautifully balanced electronic masterpiece. The composition of the music is superb and the production is simply stunning. With out a doubt this is one of the finest releases I’ve heard all year, and with the glut of mediocre music I’ve heard lately its truly a pleasure to come across a high water mark release like this. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of electronic music.
